About Momentum

Momentum is the biggest event Open Minds Foundation runs, and it is free for every student who takes part.

You don’t need to have done a case competition before. Bring a team of four to six, or ask us to place you on one.

How the day works

Teams get a business case in the morning, spend the day building a recommendation, and pitch it to a panel of judges.

  1. Form a team

    Four to six students. Bring your own group, or ask to be placed with others.

  2. Work the case

    Read the case, decide what matters, and agree on one recommendation.

  3. Present to judges

    Pitch to professionals from finance, strategy, marketing and operations, then answer their questions.

Between rounds

The case is the main event, but the day also has youth speakers, lunch, and time to meet judges and teams from other schools.

Prizes

The winning team takes home $1,000, and every member of that team gets an iPhone 17e.
